| Sales and Marketing Manager Main Functions: The Sales and Marketing Manager will utilize their experience to increase sales of our specialized products, namely Veenhuis trailers, Valtra Tractors, and Claas Harvestors and to effectively direct the sales team to meet and exceed their annual sales quotas. Success in this role will not only be measured by an ability to establish an active dealer network, and to research/contact potential customers but, also to mentor, coach, and develop the sales team to grow in their professional development. Duties: •Gain complete understanding of products sold •Revise and implement sales strategies for the Sales Representatives •Define key customers and establish relationship plans to grow the business •Provide a professional and excellent level of customer service with existing and new customers •Prospect new customers – make cold calls •Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers •Establish and maintain an active dealer network. •Develop a positive ongoing relationship with customers / dealers to ensure that Sunova Implement Inc. is exceeding their expectations •Forecast monthly sales targets, report on previous month’s achievements and identify future sales opportunities and trends •Close sufficient sales to exceed sales plan objectives •Provide after sales customer support •Write reports – sales potential, growth expectations, achievement, etc. •Derive a marketing plan to meet sales objectives •Develop the sales team through mentoring, guidance, and improvement recommendations •Oversee the areas of progressive discipline and/or terminations as required •Conduct performance appraisals with employees •Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge •Attend trade shows and seminars to promote products or to learn about industry developments •Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity •Maintain accurate files •Additional duties as required from time to time Skills, Abilities, Knowledge Requirements: •Proven management and or supervisory experience •Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources •Ability to organize and coordinate work •Strong influence abilities and high level of integrity •Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products •Able to conduct research, analyze emerging market trends, and develop creative solutions for sales, marketing and promotions •Technical background, knowledge of industry •Desire for change and challenge •Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously •Effective verbal and communication skills •Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service •Proficient using word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications •Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials •Capability to motivate others to work as a positive team •An active listener able to give clear directions and offer feedback tactfully •Ability to maintain authority in a friendly environment Working Conditions: •Daily working hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a half hour unpaid lunch •Additional hours may be required during to meet deadlines and customer requirements including evenings, holidays and weekend hours •Comfortable with detailed work •Work mostly in an office environment and may have to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers •Willing to extend duties beyond an office environment •Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public •Travel, as appropriate, in order to facilitate core responsibilities •Able to lift equipment weighing 35 lbs Employment Requirements: •Minimum Grade 12 Diploma, (Business Administration or Marketing Diploma would be an asset) •Minimum 4 years experience in sales, marketing, and customer service •Knowledge of the heavy equipment – farm, forestry, construction & waste •Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to interface with all levels of internal and customer personnel •Demonstrated sales leadership experience •Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook •Possession of a valid driver’s license Additional Assets •Experience with Business Visions •Sales experience with agricultural equipment To Apply: Fax or email your resume and cover letter to the attention of Human Resources, quoting "Sales and Marketing Manager" in the subject line - a 519-349-2310, or at the email address provided | |
